Corbett National park is a pristine heaven for the birds. Its dense Sal forests, wet grasslands and hilly vegetation provide the perfect habitat for numerous species of birds. There are more than 600 varieties of these colorful chirping creatures spread over 520 square km of core area, which makes it the most popular bird watching destination. This is why, a trip to india has tailored a 9N/10D package, in which we have covered the best places of Uttarakhand state, for the birders to chase the sweet calls, hanging binocular around their neck while the camera slung on side, in the warmth of the rising sun shine. The tour will let one explore Nainital, the ‘lake district’ of india, blessed with exotic scenery and poised lakes; and Pangot, a perfect place to bond with birds amidst the beauty of Oak, Pine and Rhododendron trees. Then, the tour will make its way to the Corbett National Park after a detour to Sattal, which is a cluster of seven lakes in the beautiful woody area of Kumaon, unique for its biodiversity and ecological amplitude.   • Day 1 - Arrive Delhi
  • Our representative will meet you at the airport on arrival and arrange for a drop at the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 2 - Delhi - Nainital - Pangot
  • Enjoy the morning drive to Pangot, a small paradise for the birdwatchers in Nainital. Many of the birds found in the surrounding areas of Nainital, are typically Himalayan species associated with these higher elevations. Leave for birding in the afternoon near the lodge. You may find blue whistling thrush, red-billed blue magpie, blue-capped redstart, rusty-tailed flycatcher, grey-backed shrike, yellow-breasted green finch etc. Overnight stay at the Jungle Lodge.

  • Day 3 - Pangot
  • Birdwatching at Pangot, Baggar, Timla Pani, Cheena Peak & Nainital comes with the variety of birds like slaty-headed & red-breasted parakeet, grey bushchat, long-tailed & grey-backed shrike, common kestrel, besra, chestnut-bellied rock thrush etc. You will spot all if you are lucky or just the streaked laughing thrush which is a common garden bird here.

  • Day 4 - Pangot - Sattal - Pangot
  • A short morning drive to Sattal, offering a natural habitat for bird species like white-crested laughingthrush, rufous-gorgeted flycatcher, red-billed leiothrix, Siberian rubythroat, rock bunting etc. Also look for rufous-chinned & white crested laughingthrush, rufous-breasted accentor, greater yellow-naped flameback, speckled piculet etc. In the evening, return to the lodge at Pangot. Stay overnight.

  • Day 5 - Pangot - Corbett National Park
  • After breakfast, drive to Corbett National Park en route Mongoli Valley for birdwatching. Corbett National Park offers to watch the rare birds like Great hornbill, Pallas's fish eagle, grey-headed and lesser fish eagle, red-collared falconet etc. Also spot jungle owlet, scaly-bellied woodpecker, red-breasted parakeet, Himalayan swiftlet, stork-billed & crested kingfisher and white-tailed & Siberian rubythroat. Check-in at the resort and stay overnight.

  • Day 6 - Corbett National Park
  • Take up an early morning drive to Dhikala tourism zone. Check-in at the Dhikala forest lodge. In the afternoon visit to the vegetated lands for an excellent variety of both the local and migratory species of birds like long-tailed nightjar, jungle owlet, spot-bellied owl, common stonechat, black francolin, purple and crimson sunbird, golden-fronted & orange-bellied leafbird, black-shouldered kite, hen harrier, changeable hawk-eagle, chestnut-tailed starling etc. Bird watching done along the Treks with Ramganga river is very rewarding for water birds such as river lapwings, waders, mergansers and other waterfowl. Overnight stay at the Lodge.

  • Day 7 - Corbett National Park
  • Post breakfast, relish the time on a watchtower overlooking a water hole. After lunch, drive to Tiger Camp stopping en route in places like Sambhar Road and Khinnanauli, some of the best birding areas for bird watching. There you will see great slaty woodpecker, great hornbill, puff-throated babbler, white-rumped shama, pallas's fish eagle etc. Enjoy the dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

  • Day 8 - Corbett National Park
  • Catch the glimpse of different species of birds in the midst of Kumeria forest or by the river. The birds that you can see are tawny & brown fish owl, Asian barred owlet, plumbeous redstart, brown dipper, fork tailed, crested tree swift, spangled drongo, blue bearded bee-eater etc. Afternoon we will visit near Garjia temple on Kosi river to chase the songs of the inviting birds. Overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 9 - Corbett - Delhi
  • After breakfast, drive into the Jhirna Range forest. Spend time sitting the birds and their delicate moments. In the afternoon, drive back to Delhi. By evening, you’ll reach Delhi. On arrival, check in for the overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 10 - Delhi - Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary - Delhi
  • After breakfast, drive to Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary for Bird watching. In the evening, reach at Delhi International airport to Catch flight for your desired destination.
